Dr. Wang manages standards and patents of the U+ Platform at Haier including defining and implementing the strategy of IoT, smart appliance and smart family.  He has led a team to develop intellectual property management and risk control.  Dr. Wang also has joined and defined 20+ standards globally and has more than 50 papers and patents related IoT.

王博士2007年畢業(yè)于北京郵電大學(xué)，博士學(xué)位。目前擔(dān)任海爾U+標(biāo)準(zhǔn)專(zhuān)利總監(jiān)，負(fù)責(zé)海爾物聯(lián)網(wǎng)/智能家電/智慧家庭標(biāo)準(zhǔn)化戰(zhàn)略的制定和實(shí)施，負(fù)責(zé)構(gòu)建海爾智能家電/智慧家庭知識(shí)產(chǎn)權(quán)管理及風(fēng)險(xiǎn)預(yù)警防控體系；參與并主導(dǎo)制定國(guó)內(nèi)外標(biāo)準(zhǔn)20余項(xiàng)，在物聯(lián)網(wǎng)領(lǐng)域申請(qǐng)專(zhuān)利50多篇。

Wang Miao received his PhD degree from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications in 2007.

Maggie Wang is a qualified Chinese lawyer and Chief Representative of Ladas & Parry LLP in China. Maggie started her legal career in 2005 at Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd.. She worked as an in-house attorney dealing with patent, trademark, copyright and domain name issues. She also reviewed R&D cooperation agreements and licensing agreements and got involved in IP transaction and litigation projects. As Maggie was also the interface of the company’s software compliance, she had rich experience in dealing with both commercial software companies and open source software issues. Maggie joined Ladas & Parry LLP in 2014 and has been serving global clients in various IP issues. She is also active consulting high profile companies in open source compliance strategies.

Shane Coughlan is an expert in communication methods and business development. He is best known for building bridges between commercial and non-commercial stakeholders in the technology sector. His professional accomplishments include establishing a legal department for the main NGO promoting Free Software in Europe, building a professional network of over 270 legal counsel and technical experts across 4 continents, and aligning corporate and community interests to launch the first law review dedicated to Free/Open Source Software.  Shane has extensive knowledge of Internet technologies, management best practice, community building and FOSS.

Keith Bergelt

Keith Bergelt is the CEO of OIN, the largest patent non-aggression community in history, created to support freedom of action in Linux as a key element of open source software.  OIN has more than 2,500 community members and owns more than 1,300 patents and applications.  Before OIN, Mr. Bergelt served as CEO of two hedge funds formed to unlock the asset value of IP in middle market companies.  Mr. Bergelt has headed licensing for CDT, and also served as GM of the Strategic Intellectual Asset Management unit at Motorola.

Wei Jia（“Jay”）

Wei, Jia (Jay) is currently a LOT Licensing Executive in China. He has 13-year intensive experience of patent licensing in China and earned a good professional networking and reputation in the field. Before working on LOT, Jay worked as Licensing Executives at Huawei, Siemens, Philips and IBM in China.  He is now also working at BestIPR as a Senior Partner to provide consultancy services helping potential licensees negotiate with the patent holders, including the very significant ones.  Besides patent licensing, Jay also practices patent acquisition, technology licensing and M&A.  He run patent litigations, invalidations and policy lobbying once he was an in-house. Jay started his career as patent engineer at Foxconn.

Jaime Siegel

Global Director of Licensing, Open Invention Network

Jaime has more than 25 years of experience as an Intellectual Property attorney and business leader. Prior to Open Invention Network, Jaime spent over 15 years at Sony, ultimately as the Vice President and Senior IP Counsel, where he was responsible for defending Sony entities around the world and leading Sony's outward licensing activities in various technologies, including digital television and standards licensing programs. The licensing program Jaime was responsible for at Sony enabled the extensive commercialization of Sony technology, and was a direct contributor to shareholder value.
